{"id":730,"date":"2026-09-25T11:04:25","date_gmt":"2026-09-25T08:04:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anegersirethymnou.gr\/erga\/residential-building-with-a-green-roof-on-irinis-street\/"},"modified":"2026-10-10T09:13:49","modified_gmt":"2026-10-10T06:13:49","slug":"residential-building-with-a-green-roof-on-irinis-street","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/anegersirethymnou.gr\/en\/projects\/residential-building-with-a-green-roof-on-irinis-street\/","title":{"rendered":"Residential building with a green roof on Irinis Street"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Irinis Street, <strong>in Perivolia, Rethymno<\/strong>, just <strong>50 metres from the town\u2019s main beach<\/strong>, we delivered a modern residential project that combines a privileged location with quality construction and careful architectural design.<\/p>\n<p>Construction began in 2016 on a <strong>plot with a total area of 1,271.29 m\u00b2<\/strong>, with the aim of creating a modern residential building that makes the most of its location while offering a high level of comfort and quality of life.<\/p>\n<p>The total <strong>built area is 1,017.03 m\u00b2<\/strong>, and the <strong>building footprint is 559.00 m\u00b2<\/strong>. The building rises to a total <strong>height of 11.50 metres<\/strong>, and its architecture was designed to keep balanced proportions and fit harmoniously into the urban fabric of the area.<\/p>\n<p>Particular importance was given to the building\u2019s relationship with nature and greenery. The plot includes a total of <strong>446.00 m\u00b2 of planted areas<\/strong>, as well as a <strong>green roof of 228.66 m\u00b2<\/strong>. This choice significantly strengthens the <strong>environmental character of the project<\/strong>, giving it a more pleasant appearance and helping to create a better microclimate around the building.<\/p>\n<p>The green roof is a distinctive feature of the construction, turning a usually unused part of the building into an active element of the architecture. Together with the planting of the grounds, it creates a sense of natural continuity and balance, which matters all the more for a property in a densely built urban and seaside setting.<\/p>\n<p>The very short distance from the sea was also decisive for the design and construction.
