The project
Five shops and six apartments in a single building, right on the Rethymno seafront.
- 1,090 m² built
- 363 m² plot
On Aris Velouchiotis Street, right on the Rethymno seafront avenue, we delivered a particularly significant mixed-use project, in one of the town’s most recognisable, lively and touristic spots.
The privileged position of the property, at the heart of the seafront and directly on Rethymno’s busy commercial and tourist waterfront, was decisive for the design. The aim was a building that serves both the needs of its residents and the dynamic commercial activity of the area.
The project was developed on a plot with a total area of 363.56 m², with a total built area of 1,090.84 m². Despite the relatively small plot, careful design made efficient use of it and created a total of 11 separate units.
The building includes 5 shops and 6 apartments, combining two different uses in a single architectural whole. The commercial spaces benefit from the excellent visibility and constant footfall of the seafront road, while the homes enjoy the unique location and the lively atmosphere of the waterfront.
Particular attention was paid to organising the building’s functions properly, so that commercial and residential uses sit together in harmony while each space keeps the independence and quality it needs.
Aris Velouchiotis Street is one of Rethymno’s most important tourist and commercial streets, with direct access to the beach and busy activity throughout the tourist season. In this dynamic setting, the building was designed as a complete investment with lasting value.
The result is a project that combines homes, business and a prime seafront location, showing how a high-value urban plot can be developed through functional design and quality construction.
