The project
Land exchange: two buildings with 26 apartments and an unobstructed view over the town of Rethymno.
- 1,341 m² built
- 1,677 m² plot
This project is a special chapter in our company’s history: it was our first land-exchange project (antiparochi), and one of the works that laid the foundations for our later growth in construction.
The building was erected on a particularly privileged, panoramic site in Rethymno, with an unobstructed view that takes in the town from east to west. The unique position of the plot was central to the architectural design, so that as many homes as possible would enjoy natural light, an open horizon and the striking view of the town.
The project was developed on a plot with a total area of 1,677.43 m², with a total built area of 1,341.85 m² and a building footprint of 754.35 m². The plot holds two independent buildings, with a total of 26 apartments.
The layout of the two buildings was designed for functionality, the comfort of the residents and the best use of the site. The homes and the outdoor spaces were arranged in a balanced way, so that the complex sits in harmony with its surroundings while keeping the particular character of its location.
The panoramic view of Rethymno is without doubt one of the project’s most important features. Open views in different directions across the town create a distinctive living experience, with a sense of freedom, brightness and a direct connection to the wider landscape.
Beyond its architecture and construction, the project has a special meaning for us. It marks the starting point of a long journey in construction, in which our experience, our know-how and our standards for the quality of every new project keep evolving.
This first land-exchange project was not just another building, but the work that shaped the foundations of our company’s philosophy: respect for the site and its surroundings, the right use of the plot, functional design and a steady commitment to build quality.
